Does anyone here have the new SRV compilation with 3 CDs and a DVD??

I think it's 3 CDs with lots of unreleased stuff (mostly live versions, I've heard) as well as a DVD with live performances?

I'm working on my DVD collection, so this one really interests me. I only have about 3 SRV CDs + the El Mocambo Toronto show on VHS...

worth getting?

Yeap! I bought it last week and it's great. A lot of new titles that I never heard. The box set is awesome.

(tremolo coil springs, #1 back view)
In the other hand, I've got some "glitch" with the DVD... hey ?!?! Nothing's perfect!

I would tell any SRV fan to go and get this box set asap !

LowEnd: Cool... sounds great. You have a DVD player????

What do you mean a "glitch"... the DVD is damaged? scratched?

Are there any special features on the DVDs? (interviews, etc.?)

The "glitch" happened on close-ups. I don't know what's wrong... The disk skips!
But even though, the box set is gorgeous!

By the way eBuddha, go check http://www.budda.com/
if you wanna get some LowEnd!

Sorry to hear about the DVD problem. You should get an exchange. Unless some one else here mentions that DVD skip issue... in which case it may be an encoding issue.

Haha about that budda.com site ;o

Hi Jonesy
I'm surprise that this compilation is not available in UK.. ?!!??
I checked on http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/026-2285547-5906852
and the collector's box didn't come up. Did you check with your local music store ?

Actually I've noticed that many American releases (be it music or film) take quite a while to be released over in Europe. The opposite is true as well. Something doesn't make sense here, I thought that the world economy was closing together. In theory we should all be obtaining access to the same CD/DVD releases around the same time...

hmmm....

I believe that it works both ways. I've noticed a number of recordings from the JSP label that are being released in the United States now that had earlier releases in Europe a few years back. It does not only include JSP, though, Ruf Records is another label.

A couple artists whose material I had to order through European outlets before they arrived in the US were Walter "Wolfman" Washington's masterpiece "Blue Moon Risin'" and Hans Olson has had a number of recordings available in Europe but not in America.
