peter green
jeff beck
ronnie wood
peter frampton

etc.
his name is Simon Spackman.

he's an unbelievable player..just let some things get in the way of his music and gave up the lifestyle..you can probably figure that out..lol.

Hi e-Z ...

When was the heyday of your friend (60s, 70s, 80s)? I never heard of him. But if he did indeed play with the likes of the people you mentioned, that's some pretty hardcore talent. Too bad it went sour

I just did a search on a few engines for Sam Spackman but it came up empty (except for some sports players, hehe).

the years were mid to late 60's and early 70's.
i couldnt find anything on the web either but have looked at his pics and WOW.
he is still a fine player and has many amazing stories but you have to get him alone and in the right mood to talk about them.
he says he dont like to tell stories to everyone because it sounds like he's namedropping but he explains that back then it was different in england because everynoe played at the same places back then and thats just how you grew up in the music business back then.
he now just does some local gigs and played with my father in law who passed away a few weeks ago but was very well known in lower blues circles,,we had ppl fly in from califonia and other places for the funeral whom said they used to follow him around in the early years!
