I am always surprised at how compartmentalized blues fans tend to me. One group only likes "proper" blues, another only likes their blues delivered with jazz, some cling to gospel blues, rejecting every sell-out to the devil and his network of wicked commericial subsidiaries. Then there are vintage rhythm and blues fans, those that just like classic southern soul music, fans of blues rock, etc.

But good blues is good blues. And good blues can found in a lot of places. Why limit oneself? Me, I look for good and distinctive blues everywhere. I like to sooth my soul with variety. But it always has to be blue, real blue!
